Our refrigerator filters are convenient and easy to install.
They
provide clean, pure tasting ice from your automatic ice maker and great water
from your cold water dispenser. Although nowadays
many refrigerators come with their own filter, many people choose to add an
additional filter that has greater filtration capacity and is easier to service.
These units come with everything needed to install: the cartridge that you pick:
a mounting bracket and screws, tubing, and two John Guest Quick Connect
refrigerator connectors. We also throw in some extra tubing in case you choose
to install your filter in a location more convenient to you than behind the
refrigerator--in an adjacent cabinet, for example. Some of our customers simply
set the filter on top of their refrigerator. When it comes time to change the
cartridge, simply unscrew (if you purchase a Q-Series unit) or pull out of the
tube from the quick-connect fitting (if you purchase an inline unit).
Q-Series Refrigerator Filters
Choose one of these three popular cartridges:
12" Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon cartridge. This is an
excellent all-around taste/odor cartridge that removes chlorine and chemicals
and works great as a refrigerator filter. Coconut shell carbon is known as a
superior chloramine and VOC reducer as well as a producer of especially good
tasting water. Rated for 2500 gallons or one year. (Some people use them
longer.)

Inline Omnipure Refrigerator Filters
Inline Omnipure Refrigerator Filter Kit
The inline filters used with this kit, available in 6" or 10" sizes, are
mounted to a wall by two clips. They have 1/4" John Guest Quick Connect
fittings so that the tubing just pushes in. To change the filters, you
simply have to depress the collet in the fitting to release the tubing. Here
you're buying the installation kit, including the mounting clips, screws, tubing,
and all fittings, but you must purchase the cartridges separately in the menu to the right, remember to select with John Guest Fittings in the shopping cart for each cartridge you order.
