Multi-Pure© has long been the standard of excellence in carbon block filtration. Its NSF certification attests to its excellence. However, there are water treatment issues that even the best of carbon filters do not address. For example, carbon filters do not reduce sodium or nitrates, and they are not normally used to reduce fluorides.

In the products listed below we’ve taken Multi-Pure’s basic VOC series unit, the undersink CBVOC-SB, and added some specific enhancements to address these areas. For example, in one system we’ve added filters using the industry-standard activated alumina technology to the Multi-Pure unit to create a hybrid system that adds fluoride reduction to the world’s greatest carbon block filter. Another style couples the stainless steel Multi-Pure unit with our tough Black & White reverse osmosis unit to produce a hybrid that not only handles fluoride, nitrates, arsenic, sodium, and other hard-to-remove contaminants but produces the cleanest, best-tasting water you can imagine.
(Note: Multi-Pure also manufactures a reverse osmosis unit. Our unit should not be confused with it.)

Multi-Pure Hybrid w/ PWP Double Flouride Filter

This unit adds two activated alumina cartridges to our standard CBVOC-SB Multi-Pure units. Except under extreme conditions, the fluoride cartridges could be changed every second year. The unit is designed for easy installation and maintenance with all John Guest quick-connect fittings.

This unit comes with both a ledge faucet and an inlet valve. When you order, please tell us if you'll be getting your inlet water from a copper or a flexible pipe. Standard faucet is your choice of a Tomlinson brand “Pro-Flo” or the Contemporary “Value” Style faucet. Additional faucet styles and finishes are available on our faucet page.

Water passes through the black vessel, then through the white vessel. Both contain activated alumina fluoride removal cartridges, so you get double the fluoride removal capacity of ordinary filters. From the white vessel, it passes through the Multi-Pure CBVOC-SB, then out the ledge faucet. The arrangement of filters can vary. For example, the Multi-Pure unit can be mounted on top of the bracket.

PWP/Multi-Pure Hybrid R.O. Unit

This is a complete RO unit with everything you need. Tank, faucet, inlet valve, drain connection and other parts are not shown in the picture. The unit comes with a hand-held TDS tester to allow you to verify membrane performance.

PWP Remineralizing R.O. with Multi-Pure Unit

This RO unit addresses the objection of some Multi-Pure customers that RO water is low in mineral content and has a reduced pH. It includes a post-RO remineralizing cartridge containing calcite. (Calcite is a natural limestone product used frequently in the water treatment industry to raise pH and restore mineral content to low-TDS water.) The unit consists of a CTO-grade carbon block prefilter, a Filmtec 24 gallon-per day TFC membrane, a calcite/carbon postfilter and, finally, the superb Multi-Pure CBVOC-SB as postfilter.

Multi-Pure KDF Unit

For KDF fans, this is a high performance hybrid unit that adds 1.5 lbs. of KDF redox medium in front of the Multi-Pure unit to assure extra-long performance and exceptionally clean water.

KDF protects the Multi-Pure cartridge from chlorine and heavy metals so that its full capacity can be devoted to reduction of other contaminants. The KDF cartridge is in the white vessel. For the black vessel, take your choice of AAL for fluoride removal, a five micron sediment cartridge, or any carbon block or specialty cartridge from our cartridge menu.

This unit comes with both a ledge faucet and an inlet valve. When you order, please tell us if you’ll be getting your inlet water from a copper or a flexible pipe. Standard faucet is your choice of a Tomlinson brand “Pro-Flo” or the Contemporary “Value” Style faucet. Additional faucet styles and finishes are available on our faucet page.
