These are screw-in cartridges that fit our Candle Style Model 77 Countertop and all Doulton / Berkefeld Vessels.

Note: If comparing prices, our Doulton candles are the full nine-inch version, not the less expensive 7 inch candle.

FC702	Doulton UltraCarb. A Doulton ceramic candle with carbon block core capable of lead reduction, taste/odor improvement, and high volatile organic chemical removal. Works well as a siphon filter, too. A, B, & E.	$48
FC703	Doulton Supercarb. The Supercarb candle is an extruded carbon block filter inside a ceramic shell. It carries NSF Class 1 chlorine removal rating and is a good all around chemical filter. Recommended replacement at 1000 gallons. A, B, & D.	$41

FC794	MatriKX Nominal 1-micron carbon block with lead-removal and cyst-removal certification. Fits our Model 77 candle style countertop. Good chemical and taste/odor filter as well. A.	$29
FC797	MatriKX “CeramiKX” cartridge is a tight one-half micron (absolute) extruded carbon block designed to perform as well as ceramic filters. It consists of a carbon wall built to mimic ceramic. It is rated for 99.99% bacteria removal yet is a a good taste/odor filter as well. Also rated for giardia and cryptosporidium removal. Although the CeramiKX lacks the credentials of the Doulton cartridges above, it is a product from one of America’s most respected filter makers. E. coli rating is for 99.9996% reduction, and the filter meets NSF Class I chlorine reduction standards (1000 gallons/95% reduction). Note that CeramiKX is not silver impregnated, so bacteria “grow through” is possible and it is not to be regarded as being as completely safe for non-potable water filtration as the two cartridges above.
