Housings and Brackets

Filter Housings

All housings offered on our RO Parts Page are for standard 9.75" X 2.5" (more or less) filter cartridges. All have 1/4" female threaded ports. They are the most common size for standard undersink reverse osmosis units.

These are Flowmatic© 4200 Series filter housings, but they will interchange with housings made by other manufacturers. In other words, if you have an RO unit with a similar housing by a different manufacturer, our housing will probably work with your unit, although it might look a little different. (It's under the sink. The neighbors will never know.)

Although housing manufacturers don't tell you this, opaque (colored) housings are stronger than clear ones. You might keep that in mind if your water pressure is high.

Note: We can supply Pentek housings upon request, but we don't list them on the website. Please call for information.

Membrane Housings

We offer only one standard membrane housing, a Flowmatic© with an end/side/side port arrangement. Any standard membrane will fit it. Ports are all in standard 1/8" female pipe thread. It is the housing used on all our RO units, and it can be adapted to work with virtually any standard reverse osmosis unit.

Mounting Brackets

Both double and triple brackets are also by Flowmatic© . They are front-flap-up style which allows either side-to-side or front-to-back mounting of filter housings. All brackets are steel with white finish.

Screws are stainless steel to prevent rusting of the bracket. Use a 3/4" screw when no membrane clip is being mounted between the screw and the bracket. Use a 1" screw if a membrane clip is used. This means that a housing with clip would need three 3/4" and one 1" screws.

Port Arrangement	Inlet at cap end; permeate and brine ports side mounted at opposite end. (Standard setup followed by almost all manufacturers.)
